Are You Suffering From Hyperhidrosis?

Hyperhidrosis or excessive sweating affects about two percent of the population. Often it is limited to certain body areas like the palms, soles, armpits, nose and groin. It is sometimes inherited,but in most cases no genetic link can be established. Excessive sweating or hyperhidrosis can be secondary to a medical condition like menopause or hyperthyroidism and usually occurs with one any precipitating medical condition. It rarely causes problems in other parts of the body because excessive although mildly embarrassing, at times it is often just an inconvenience.

Investing in the stock market is not for the faint of heart because of its volatile nature, it can go up where you can make money but it can also go down where you can lose money. Depending on what stocks you buy, over the long term, the stock market will probably make better returns for you than a time deposit or a savings account. The only problem is that you need to monitor if possible, on a daily basis to be abreast of what is happening in the stock market trading and familiar with their activities. Not only that it takes sometime before you can actually make money.

Philippines’ Rice Terraces - A Historic Civil Engineering Feat

The rice terraces in Banawe, Philippines was adjudged in 1998 as the best among the man made structures to receive an award from the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE). It has conferred the International Historic Civil Engineering Landmark Award. It hailed to be one of the world’s greatest engineering wonders. The Ifugaos, who are the aborigines of the area had built the structure using engineering principles far advance of their time.

‘Clubfoot’, A Congenital Deformity - Its Treatment

Congenital Talipes Equinovarus or clubfoot mostly affect children who are born with one or both feet curved inward, assuming the shape of a golf club, hence the popular term for the condition. It is regarded as one of the common congenital deformities worldwide affecting about one infant in every one thousand births. If left untreated, clubfoot can lead to a life of disability and social isolation. the traditional mode of treatment was extensive corrective surgery to correct the form of the foot or feet.

Overcoming The Fear Of Math

Mathematics is probably the most dreaded subject among students, oftentimes seen as difficult and hard to learn. Truth to the matter is that the adverse attitude of students towards math is one of the reasons why these young people are behind in math proficiency. It is either they fear the subject or they have little interest or poor motivation of the subject. Whatever the reasons may be, we have to understand that there are many factors influencing poor performance of students in math.

Diabetics Not Happy With Current Treatments

In a report by International Patient Research conducted last year only half of the patients interviewed were completely satisfied with their current diabetes treatments. About one third of the patient surveyed were extremely worried about suffering from complications as well as the improper control of their blood sugar levels. In addition to half of the diabetic patients were extremely worried that they may accidentally injure themselves or others when experiencing hypoglycemia (low blood sugar levels).

Big Eye Tuna Stocks Depleting Worldwide

Big eye tuna, a prime source for Japanese restaurants worldwide serving sushie and sashimi are on the verge of collapse from overfishing, a report said. A collapse would have a profound effect on fishing fleets as well as on processing and trading industries in Japan and Taiwan according to Wildlife Trade Monitoring Network, which is partly run by a conservation group.

Tattoos - Is It An Art Form Or A Brand For Society’s Ills?

Public perception on tattoo has its ups and lows. It has been associated with a life of crime in the sense that the art of tattoo is prevalent among inmates in jails and security prisoners. People branded it as a tainted skin art in which the stigma persists up to this time. Some people or establishments, they took care not to hire any person who sported a tattoo especially those proclaiming themselves to be a member of certain underworld gangs or groups.
