RESEARCH MATERIALS

• 2g Water lily
• 3g Paper
• 2g Cornstarch
• 150 ml water
• Beaker

• Mortar and pestle or blender
• Microwave oven
• Tripod
• Bunsen burner or oil lamp
• Wire gauze

RESEARCH PROCEDURE

The materials were prepared on the table; the paper is ripped into strips and set aside. Pound water lilies with until you get the extract. If you want faster process, you pour 150mL hot water in the blender together with the water lily to get the water lily extract. Set it aside. Then squeeze and separate the extracted lily from the extract or juice. And mix approximately 7 packs or 2 grams of cornstarch and the water lily extract. Mix thoroughly until it becomes in a colloid state. After mixing, soak the paper strips into the colloid mixture, and then mould it in any shape. Bake it in the microwave oven for 10-30 minutes. Let it rest it in the pan for 1 hour. After it rest in the pan for an hour check if it is firm by pressing it with the index finger and the thumb, if not, bake it again but for only10 minutes.

note: in water lily it depends if you are near a lagoon
