Nicotine, a drug found in tobacco is highly addictive and it is addictive as heroin or cocaine.
When smoke is inhaled through cigarette smoking, nicotine is carried deep into the lungs, then it is absorbed into the bloodstream and carried throughout the body including the heart, blood vessels, hormonal system, metabolism and the brain.
Studies have also shown that nicotine produces that urge and the false impression of pleasure feeling that make smoker difficult to kick the habit and instead the smoker wanted to smoke more.
By smoking, nicotine reaches the brain faster than drugs that enter the body through intravenous means It is for this reason, why quitting smoking is hard for many people.
On the other hand, most lung patients at the Lung Center they had interviewed have the difficulty in getting rid of this vice because of nicotine addiction.
A stick of cigarette contains four thousand and four hundred chemical components, in which forty three out from these are cancer causing.
