Shakira, the Colombian singer has signed an agreement with the Inter-American Development, which will match her contribution to rebuild the Elie Dubois school, one of the island’s oldest school.
She donated US$ 400,000 dollars to rebuild a Haiti school that was severely damage in the 2010 earthquake.
The non-profit group Architecture for Humanity will rebuild two of the school’s buildings, with a target completion date in 12 to 14 months from now.
