Tom Cruise To Do A Revival Version Of The Movie ‘The Magnificent Seven’

Tom Cruise is going to do a revival movie version of ‘The Magnificent Seven’.

The original was filmed in the 1960, starred by Yul Brynner, Steve McQueen and Charles Bronson.

The film story revolves around an oppressed Mexican village, as its inhabitants assemble seven gunmen to assist them in defending their homes against bandits.

The film is still very much in development and makers MGM have not yet signed a writer or director.

In the meantime, Cruise is doing the following: Joseph Kosinski’s ‘Oblivion’ and Doug Liman’s action ‘All You Need Is Kill.’

Cruise has long been keen to do the remake movie but is presently busy doing other films for now.

Just recently, Cruise stars in the forthcoming musical adaptation of stage show ‘Rock of Ages’ with co-stars with Alec Baldwin and Russel Brand, due to be shown in the UK in June, and finished Jack Reacher’s re-working of One Shot, a thriller novel by Lee Child.

The ‘Top Gun’ star’s previous production credits include ‘Mission Impossible’ and ‘Vanilla Sky.’
