Jennifer Lopez is eying for a world concert tour with fellow Latin pop favorite Enrique Iglesias this summer among her reasons to gracefully exit from American Idol.
Though the pop singer cum dancer has yet to make a final decision, sources close to the lovely Latina star have broken ranks to reveal she is planning to leave the show due to a heavy schedule she will be embarking by the time the next season of the American Idol begins.
Her plan to go overseas for a worldwide tour in Autumn, will make her very difficult to attend tapings, as the next round of Idol auditions will start while she is abroad.
Most importantly, she is hoping to lighten her schedule next year, so that she could personally attend to her four-year-old twin children Max and Emme, who will be starting school soon.
She had already hinted she may be leaving the show when she appeared on the Ellen DeGeneres Show this week, saying, ‘I don’t know I enjoy it. I really do enjoy it.
‘This is my second year. I don’t know if I can go for a third year. I miss doing other things. It really does lock you down.’
At the premiere of What to Expect When You’re Expecting this week she said, ‘It is just like any working mom’s dilemma.
‘It’s tough. It’s a balancing act. You put them first and then you have all these other things that you have to do, that you have to give your time to as well, and you have to make sure that they’re OK in the process.’
Fox has declined to comment on the Latina judge’s future with the show.
