After all those recent happenings behind the scenes at X-Factor, it has again stirred people’s interest and recently become the limelight of public discussion.
Following the success of American Idol’s online auditions, Simon Cowell is replicating them as well in X-Factor, to make it more interesting and easy for hopefuls to participate.
Contestants should be over 12 years of age to qualify. Today through June 9th anyone interested in submitting an online audition, whether it be a group or a solo artist can do so by going to the site’s YouTube page at X Factor Online Auditions on YouTube.
According to Cowell, “I’m really happy we are launching auditions through YouTube. There is a lot of great talent online now, and especially young kids today are using YouTube to get themselves seen and heard. It’s very easy, and it is US$ 5 million dollars after all! I’m very excited to see the auditions that might come through this.”
Among the submitted online auditions, they only choose the best ones. Those chosen will be invited to audition live in front of the judging panel.
The submitted online audition is a recorded video of the contestant, that include introduction of the contestant, the song rendered in a cappella format. The intro should explain who you are why you think you have the ‘X-Factor’.
The exciting premiere of Simon Cowell’s X-Factor, will set to debut on Fox this fall.
